Elder Allan Vernon Measom
After a long, extremely long, year of waiting and working Allan finally receive his mission call
in July of 2009.
He was called to the Chile Santiago East Mission and he was to report to the MTC on October 28th. Allan was determined to serve a mission and after a minor run in with the law set him back a year it would have been really easy to change his mind and do something else. He kept his sights set on a mission and he is now in Chile doing exceptionally well learning the language and teaching the people of Chile the gospel of Jesus Christ.I am so proud of him for going on a mission and setting an example for our family to follow. He is a great guy and I am glad to call him my brother.
I was able to take some pictures of Allan before he left and although I took tons and tons of pictures this one of him is my all time favorite. Since I am speed blogging I am only allowing myself one or two pictures per post, then I might get caught up to the end of the school year before it actually gets here

glad he's doing well! that's where greg's brother shawn went on his mission and he later married a girl from there. greg has two siblings out right now.
